Katherine's trademarked method of yoga includes meditation, breathing techniques, inventive sequences and advanced adjustments. She can challenge the most experienced yogis with her extensive knowledge of yoga asana, hybrid classes and fluid yoga like movements. She received her BA and became a RYT, traveling internationally training US Navy and Naval Special Warfare. She is the director of 501c3 non profit org OMM, providing yoga for military and families. Then founded The Studio On Palm to provide space for people to explore their potential and thrive in a healthy community.
Lili, a San Diego native since 2012, has been practicing massage for over 9 years. She specializes in sports massage, deep tissue, and customizes treatments to meet individual needs. She is friendly and loves meeting new people in her community. She is passionate about her work and believes it is her calling in life. She loves seeing people return for regular care. "Massage Therapy benefits everyone. Take care of yourself and the rest will fall into place."
Jean Barrows, an Imperial Beach native, received her Holistic Health Practioner’s license with an emphasis on integrated body work at Mueller College. She believes in everyone’s ability to heal. “Listen to your body, it knows what it needs. Touch is an essential part of life.” Jean is dedicated to helping others and volunteers in her community. Her skills include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Reiki, Thai, Tui Na, Shiatsu, Synergistic, Aromatherapy, Chakra Balancing, and is a Certified Yoga Instructor.
Alex Zipper is a Southern California native. In her very first yoga class she fell in love with the quietness of mind and found her life shifting in a positive direction. She completed her 200 hour Zuna Yoga certification in Bali and returned home to San Diego to begin teaching private and small group yoga lessons rooted in Hatha. Alex continued her education at CorePower Yoga, completing the Extension program to expend to Vinyasa flow. She combines Philosophy, Pranayama and Meditation and emphasizes alignment. She creates a welcoming space for peace and self discovery.
Board-certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, Allison’s passion for healing dates back to the experiences she endured after suffering a devastating injury. She began to view her painful experiences as a chance to understand the healing process on a deeper level and to relate to others on their healing path. Allison has been a Reiki healer for 14 years and has been certified in massage therapy for 11.
Allison graduated with a Master’s of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine & Doctorate of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego, California. She specialized in mental health, integrative pain management and oncology and has performed clinical rotations at Rady Children’s hospital and the San Diego Cancer Center and advanced training at The International Acupuncture Training Center in Beijing, China. She holds both national and California state board certifications. Allison is honored to be a part of your healing process.
Ashley is a military wife who made the move to Imperial Beach in February of 2017. She is a passionate sculpt teacher who loves to motivate her students by helping them get a fun, full body workout with an emphasis on self-love and compassion. She received a BA in English with a minor in Journalism at the University of Central Florida. Her love for yoga, surfing, health, and family is evident in her daily life. Ashley received her sculpt certification at Corepower Yoga in Mission Valley. Her classes offer an intense blend of cardio, weight training, and a lot of core work!
Zoë received her BA in dance with emphasis in ballet. She is a RYT and Aerial-RYT. Zoë’s yoga classes are a blend of the cardiovascular aspects of vinyasa, the strength and patience building aspects of hatha, and the fluidity of dance. She’s passionate about each student feeling safe and comfortable. She inspires students to explore the edge of the comfort zone - where the real transformation happens. Whether in a group class, or a private lesson, Zoë wants each participant to walk away feeling confident and at home in the body.
Natalia is an accomplished choreographer, professional dancer, and fitness instructor originally from Ukraine. She received her degrees from Universities in Ukraine and Russia as a Ballet Master and Choreographer. For 10 years her career as a professional dancer allowed her to showcase her talent in places around the world such as Morocco, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey and Japan. After the birth of her daughter in 2007, Natalia focused her career and passion for fitness into Body Ballet, Pilates and Dance Fitness in Ukraine. She came to San Diego to visit her sister and fell in love with America's finest city and remains excited to share her enthusiasm for Dance and Fitness with San Diego.
Anne received her BA degree in Marketing. She brings experience from Chicago and Los Angeles, marketing corporate and non profit businesses. She’s passionate about small business start ups, brand identity, social media strategy, sales and relationship building. Her passion for health, nutrition and fitness lead her on a conscious path; attending workshops, retreats and a TRX certification course. She is honored to support The Studio On Palm as the studio manager and looks forward to the future as Imperial Beach continues to grow.
Shannon received her BA in Biology and is a certified Aerial Yoga Instructor. Her classes are a dynamic mix of stretching, strength building, and exciting flips and tricks. She believes that anyone can benefit from an Aerial Yoga practice because it will challenge a person to soar to new heights that they never thought possible. She makes each participant feel welcome, answers all questions they may have and they leave feeling more confident and accomplished. She adores sharing this practice with both kids and adults in hope they fall in love with Aerial too.
Kendal grew up in Washington State and moved to San Diego in February of 2016. After experience with depression and anxiety she found yoga to be an excellent way to keep her mind and body calm and centered. In Kendall’s classes you will find a welcoming, supportive space filled with feel-good adjustments and heart-felt encouragement. She loves to see students step out on a limb to try something new. Never be afraid to fall! She is kindhearted and optimistic and loves to make people smile.
